UpdatAROS v1.0
--------------

UpdatAROS is a simple, but powerful shell script which allows easy
updating of AROS system files, it is based on VmwAROS well-known
VmwUpdate and it's meant as temporary solution until a proper
updating/packaging system will be created for AROS.

In order to run, you need

- AROS already installed on a writable, valid partition
- A new nightly build burnt on CD-ROM (grab it from www.aros.org)

Instructions:

1. create a drawer and give it a name you like

2. open it and open a shell with rAros+W

3. unpack UpdatAROS: (you need lha in C: or in your path)
lha x updatarosv1.lha

4. double click on UpdatAROS icon to launch it

5. follow the instructions on the screen

Important notes:

a. UpdatAROS must be run from your hard drive, it can't be
launched from CD-ROM. If system has booted from CD-ROM, the
script will abort.

b. UpdatAROS uses the filesystem it finds on the system.
If anything goes wrong, it may be a filesystem issue. In this
case, just reset and try repeating the operation

c. Old AROS systems might still be using broken FFS files.
This is DANGEROUS, because they don't support disk validation.
On those old installations, updating might lead to a system
crash that may unvalidate your system partition. This is NOT
a UpdatAROS issue, however it will make your AROS partiton
read only and barely usable.

d. the file updating.txt contains some IMPORTANT informations
old users SHOULD know before updating, please READ IT!
