An online game for every fan of Civilization and other strategy games on
the Amiga. One shared world for all players, in real time.
This is the BETA WORLD: the world will be reset after the beta phase.
Artificial intelligence is used to create the game and to move the
computer nations in the shared world.
Double-click the icon to play. Manuals (AmigaGuide) are included.
Versions
--------
Aveterna AmigaOS 3.0+ (68020+, AGA or RTG). Also runs
on MorphOS and AmigaOS 4 (emulated 68k).
Aveterna.os4 AmigaOS 4.1 (PowerPC), native.
Aveterna.mos MorphOS 3.x (PowerPC), native.
Aveterna_AROS_x86_64 AROS x86_64, ABI v11 (axrt.org "v11" line,
e.g. AROS One / AROS-2026xx pc-x86_64).
Aveterna_AROS_aarch64 AROS ARM 64 bit (Raspberry Pi 3/4 builds of
AROS, raspi-aarch64).
Every version updates itself from the game server with its own build
(the file it was started as is replaced, the previous one is kept as
.old). To play a native version, start it from the Shell or give it the
icon of the 68k version (rename).
All versions need a working TCP/IP stack (bsdsocket.library: Roadshow,
Miami, AmiTCP, MorphOS/OS4 network, AROSTCP on AROS) and a screen mode of
at least 640x400. On AROS the game opens a 256 colour screen on the
graphics card, or runs in a Workbench window (WINDOW tooltype, or Cancel
in the screen mode requester).
Aminet has no architecture code for 64 bit AROS (x86_64, ARM); both AROS
versions are listed under i386-aros ("AROS on IBM compatibles").
