Prerequisites Check: Ensure that your AROS-64Bit v11 installation has the
filesysbox.library (version 54.3 or higher) and the smb2-handler binary placed
in the system's L: drawer. These are essential requirements for the SMB2 backend
to respond correctly.
Automatic Persistence (DEVS:DOSDrivers): When you create and mount a share, the
Mountlist (SMB2) will be saved in SYS:Storage/DOSDrivers. This ensures the share
remains available and ready to be mounted natively even after a system reboot.
Automatic Mounting: SMB2-GUI allows automatic mounting in addition to creating
SMB2 DOSDrivers. To achieve automatic mounting upon every AROS reboot, copy the
SMB2-Start script file and its corresponding icon (found in the archive) into
WBStartup.
DisMount Integration: SMB2-GUI integrates a DisMount feature that uses the
FbxDismount command to cleanly and automatically unmount the shared volume.
